In light of the recent television documentary on imported wood flooring from Asia, we wish to
clarify and confirm the following with respect to product (Formaldehyde) emissions and the legal
sourcing of lumber.

All Buckwold Western wood products inclusive of all Dansk Hardwood, Armstrong wood, Columbia wood, and UA wood products are produced from legally sourced logging and lumber and comply with all the laws of the country of origin of the wood. In addition, all our wood products are compliant with the US LACEY ACT where sourcing is verified and tracked through the production, transportation and invoicing of the products.

We also specify and verify that all our composite wood products meet European E1/E0 or USA CARB II regulations. This ensures that all our composite wood products meet very strict emissions limits that have been determined safe in Europe and North America.

Unfortunately the documentary presented a very narrow view of Chinese/Asian manufacturing and
importers. It is unfortunate the media involved did not acknowledge that reputable companies
respect the environment and adhere to very strict and safe emission standards. Buckwold Western has always been vigilant in respecting safe emission standards and the environment.
